Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
Seattle Fitness Magazine is based in Seattle, Washington. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
• Newsletter: your name, email address, and confirmation that you are 21 or older.
• Trainer applications: the details you enter in the form, including your name, email, phone number, Instagram handle, where you train, rates, certifications, bio and answers about your coaching, plus the photos, videos and certificate you upload.
• Orders: your name, email, phone number, what you bought and, for apparel, your shipping address. Payments are handled by Wix and its payment partners (PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay). We never see your full card number.
• Site visits: basic technical information such as your IP address, browser and the pages you view, collected by our website platform, Wix.
The macro calculator collects nothing. Your figures stay in your own browser and are never sent to us.
How we use it
• To send the newsletter you signed up for
• To review trainer applications and, if you are selected, publish your profile and story as described in the application
• To process, ship and support orders, and to prevent payment fraud
• To keep the site secure and working, and to see which pages are read, in total
We do not sell your information or use it for targeted advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the services that run the site, each under its own privacy policy:
• Wix — website hosting, newsletter list, store, checkout and visitor statistics
• PayPal, Apple Pay and Google Pay — payments, when you choose them
• Forter — fraud checks at checkout, on behalf of Wix
• Google — stores trainer applications, uploads and newsletter sign-ups, and serves the site's fonts
• Cloudflare — hosts the trainer pages and passes your uploads to storage
• Sentry — tells us when a page breaks
Within Seattle Fitness Magazine, only the owner and one team member can see newsletter sign-ups and trainer applications. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
Cookies
The site uses cookies from Wix that it needs to work, such as keeping your session and protecting forms, and one fraud-prevention cookie at checkout. We use no advertising cookies, tracking pixels or third-party analytics, so there is no cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site, including checkout, may stop working. Wix's full cookie list is at https://support.wix.com/en/article/cookies-and-your-wix-site.
The site does not respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals. Because we run no advertising or third-party tracking, there is nothing for those signals to switch off.
How long we keep it
• Newsletter: 12 months after you unsubscribe. After that we keep only your email address, so you are not added back by mistake.
• Trainer applications: 12 months after an application is declined or a profile is removed, including uploaded files.
• Orders: 7 years, for tax records.
• Visitor statistics: 62 days.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any email. You can also ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it. Residents of California and Washington have these rights under state law, and we extend them to everyone. We will not treat you differently for using them. Email us at the address below.
Health information
We do not collect health information. Anything you enter into the macro calculator stays on your device.
Children
The site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. The newsletter and all purchases are for people 21 and older.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
